Sensorem at Dementia Awareness Day with Roslagen Dementia Association

In October, Roslagen Dementia Association hosted a full-day event with lectures and information focusing on cognitive disorders. It was a highly rewarding day filled with inspiring insights, new research findings, and meaningful discussions around dementia-related diseases.

Positioning alarm for people with cognitive disorders

Through Sensorem’s collaboration with the Swedish Dementia Association (Demensförbundet), we were given the opportunity to exhibit and present our Positioning Alarm. Today, this solution is appreciated by several thousand people across the Nordic region who are living with cognitive disorders, as well as by their relatives.

We truly value our cooperation with Demensförbundet, as there are still many people affected by dementia who are unaware of how much difference the right assistive technology can make — both for users and their families.

Safety and peace of mind for users and relatives

With Sensorem’s smartwatch, relatives can call the user directly, and the watch can be configured to answer automatically if desired, making it easier to establish contact when needed.

The built-in GPS function also allows relatives to see on the map if the user has lost their way, as well as set up geofencing, which sends notifications if the user moves outside a predefined area.

In addition, the reminder functionality is highly appreciated, as the watch can remind the user of important daily activities, appointments, or routines.

The dementia awareness day was an important opportunity to demonstrate how Sensorem’s positioning alarm can contribute to increased safety, independence, and quality of life for people living with cognitive disorders and their families.

Safety alarm with automatic fall alarm can increase safety for people with an increased risk of falling

Sensorem’s personal alarm is an example of a technical aid specially developed for people who have an increased risk of falling. The personal alarm can automatically trigger the alarm in the event of a fall and then call relatives using the watch’s built-in speakerphone with two-way communication. The personal alarm works outdoors and has built-in GPS positioning so that relatives can see the user’s position on a map in the Sensorem app.
